There is a normal tendency in people, organizations and governments to
become conservative with discovered natural wealth at the expense of the need to explore for new resources. This grows from uncertainty, about the real extent of undiscovered deposits. A truism that expresses a very difficult and complicated problem is that for successful exploration, venture motivation must exceed and overcome this uncertainty. This discussion of the oil and gas resources and future potential of the Sirte basin is dedicated to venture motivation.
