Abstract
The seventh meeting of Directors of Centres Participating in the Statistical Programme for Africa (STPA) was held at the headquarters of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 2 to 6 December 1991. Mr. Ahmed Bahri, Chief of the Population Division of ECA read the address by Mr. Issa B.Y. Diallo, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Acting Executive Secretary of ECA.
