Abstract
This first edition of the Transport Statistics Yearbook is just the beginning for the whole implementation process of the transport database for Sub-Saharan Africa through the Regional Transport Database Project. The countries considered in the first edition of the Transport Statistics Yearbook for Africa are only the seven pilot countries that have been involved in phase I of the Regional Database project.
