Abstract
The building societies grant loans primarily for the construction or acquisition of owner-occupied homes and flats-and for their modernization, improvement or disencumbrance. Building credits are also granted towards cofinancing the construction of flats. Finally, the building societies extend loans to territorial administrative bodies and their affiliated institutions for the financing of land development measures and facilities related to housing.
