Abstract
Two thirds of the Congo’s territory is composed of sedimentary deposits developed in two basins the great Congo basin (its north-western edge) and the point noire basin the remaining third of the territory is composed of metamorphic and igneous rocks of Precambrian age with various degrees of metamorphism which form two main massifs the ogoue and sangha massifs
