Report on trade facilitation and trade liberalisation within the context of subregional economic groupings : the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) case study

This paper begins with a brief evaluation of the current trade situation in the West African subregion before analyzing the results achieved by the ECOWAS member States in terms of intra-community trade liberalization and trade facilitation. The study then focuses attention on the conditions of trade development within the West African subregion before drawing relating some of solutions to the problems raised.
