This document contains information on the Rationalization of economic integration efforts in the West African sub region, The study is organized into various sub-headings. The first part (I) is the introduction. Part II will deal with the status of economic integration in West Africa. Part III will examine the rational for the rationalization of the IGOs activities, while Part IV will review the attempts made at implementation. Part V will analyze the attendant problems and difficulties. In the light of some of these difficulties, an attempt will be made in Part VI, to" make some of new proposals.
