This paper focused on the public participation in development planning and management and the purpose is to focus attention on the concept and pragmatism of peoples contribution to and benefits from the economic and social advancement of African countries and how best this public participation strategy could be improved and strengthened to speed up the transformation and sustainable development of Africa’s natural resources and productive forces for the betterment of the quality of human conditions in the region.
