Economic development and problems in Nigeria
Résumé
The National Development Plan 1962-1968, the first major attempt at national economic planning in Nigeria, was launched in April 1962. It was the first in a series of intermediate plans which are designed to bring Nigeria to the take off stage i.e, the stage where the country, will be able to generate enough income and savings to enable her on her own efforts to finance a steady and uninterrupted growth without depending on overseas sources for supply of investment capital and technical skills.
