Résumé
Since 1984, African governments and leaders have become increasingly aware of population issues and have been seeking solutions to these in an effort to bring about positive social and economic development for Africa, in general, and for their respective countries, in particular. The process of integrating population variables into the socio-economic development programmes of Africa requires conscious efforts at creating awareness of the underlying population dynamics of the African Region. In this process, the need to more widely disseminate and diffuse population information cannot be overemphasized.
