Developing countries in recent years have been experiencing increasing balance of payments difficulties which are mainly attributable: to their foreign exchange administration In an effort to overcome these problems and reestablish favourable conditions for economic growth and a sustainable balance of payments positions, many countries resort to various monetary policy instruments including interest rate and exchange rate adjustments.
