Report of the sixth session of the joint conference of African planners, Statisticians and demographers

Abstract

The sixth session of the Joint Conference of African Planners, Statisticians and Demographers was held at ECA headquarters, Addis Ababa, from 15 to 20 January 1980. The meeting was opened by Professor Adebayo Adedeji, United Nations under Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa. The session was attended by the representatives of the following member states of the commission: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, the Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenay, Lesotho, Liberia, the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, the Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, the Sudan, Swaziland, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zaire, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
