Tecahnical Paper on Research Programmes for Human Settlements Planning Techniques in Various Environments of the Region

Abstract

Human settlements are the home of man, wherein he carries out socio-economic activities geared towards satisfying such needs as shelter, food, education, health, transport and communications, and recreation. The pursuit of such activities presupposes rational human settlements planning which is carried out at the national, regional and local levels; objective of such planning is to integrate the physical, social and economic aspects of development.
