Abstract
The African Household Survey Capability Programme (AHSCP), which is a regional component of the global National Household Survey Capability Programme (NHSCP), was established in 1978 to improve the availability of continuing, timely and integrated data in African countries. These data are required to ensure the adequate preparation and monitoring of national and regional plans, policies and programmes.
