Hydrography and the international hydrographic organization

Abstract

The present document contains information on Hydrography and the international hydrographic organization, of the Third Regional Cartographic Conference for Africa, held at Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) 30 October - 10 November 1972.It is further resolved that the means, of accomplishing the foregoing objectives shall include- inter alia the provision of developing nations, upon their request, of information and advice relating to education and training opportunities in hydrography; of technical information concerning the availability of appropriate equipment and technical- instruments of advice concerning the setting up and operation of hydrographic faci lities; of advice concerning the formulation of projects in hydrography to be submitted, to the appropriate international financial institutions; and the facilitation of bilateral and multilateral co-operative arrangements among Members of the Organization.
