Training of instructors for African telecommunication institutes

Abstract

This programme is an integral part of the overall working programme for the development of telecommunication services in Africa. Under the overall programme it is intended, amongst other things, that an extensive review is to be made of existing national training facilities and that these be created or expanded as required to meet future needs. It is therefore of paramount importance to have available an adequate supply of technical instructors. In this regard it is of interest to note that the average cost of training a national instructor is comparable to the yearly cost of the services of an internationally.
