The meeting was opened by His Excellency Mr. Fekade Gedamu, Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Transitional Government of Ethiopia. Statements were made by Mr. Issa B.Y. Diallo, United Nations Assistant Secretary- General and Acting Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and Ambassador Bronson N.
