Abstract
This Roster is a revised up-dated version of the first edition of 'Roster of African Taxation Experts" prepared and published by United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in 1902 on behalf of the Association of African Tax Administrators (AATA). The idea of preparing a Roster of African Taxation Experts was initiated by AATA at its inaugural meeting of the Association which was held in Monrovia (Liberia) from 11 through 19 February 1980 when the General Assembly requested the UNECA to prepare on their behalf a Roster of African Taxation Experts. The need for Roster of African taxation experts was also emphasized at the second meeting of Executive Secretaries of Regional Associations of tax administrators which was held in Panama City, (Panama) 30 September to 4 October 1985. The Roster is aimed at facilitating exchange of tax personnel among Member States of AATA as well as making possible for other Regional Associations of tax administrators to draw on the experts included in the Roster when technical assistance was sought by their member countries.
