This paper focuses on Infant and young child feeding in Africa : the role of Transnational Corporations. The survey upon which this report is based was carried out as part of an effort by the joint ECA/CTNC unit on transnational corporations to make a positive contribution towards the understanding of basic problems, difficulties and opportunities faced by the developing countries of Africa in relation to infant formula promotion and marketing policies and their impact on infant and young child feeding practices in Africa.
