In accordance with the recommendation of the starting team, as mentioned in document E/CN.14/IDEP/6, a meeting was organized at UNESCO Headquarters on 2,3 and 4 May 1963 to establish the draft curriculum of the specialized course on “Manpower and Education Planning in Economic Development”. The meeting was attended by two members of the starting team of the Institute, two staff members of ILO and four staff members of UNESCO was in the chair. Dr. I.H. Abdel Rahman, Director of the UAR Institute of National Planning was invited but was unfortunately unable to attend.
