Driving job creation and economic growth through sustainable, inclusive, science-based and evidence-based solutions for implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want, of the African Union

Abstract

The 11th Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD) will convene under the theme “Driving job creation and economic growth through sustainable, inclusive, science-based, and evidence-based solutions for implementing the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063.” Hosted by Uganda and organized jointly with the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the Forum aims to accelerate progress on the SDGs and Agenda 2063 amid slow global and regional advancement. Key focus areas include health, gender equality, decent work, marine ecosystems, and partnerships, with an emphasis on financing, digital transformation, and industrialization. Expected outcomes include policy recommendations, the Kampala Declaration, and strengthened multi-stakeholder commitments to foster inclusive growth and SDG achievement.
