Highlighting the pivotal role that women could play in industrializing Africa, saying that it was crucial to transform its social and economic development into one that was competitive globally. And mentioned reiterated that participants at the side event were pushing to transform Africa into a future global powerhouse, driven by Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want, of the African Union. To that end, Africa needed to take advantage of the Agreement Establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area, which addressed some of the factors impeding access to external markets by women-owned export companies in the horticulture value chain.en
