Report on a mission to Accra (Ghana)

Abstract

This report summarizes a mission to Accra, Ghana, from October 24 to November 11, 1988, led by Jean Marc Hie, a regional advisor in data processing for the Statistics Division. The mission aimed to enhance the capabilities of the Ghana Statistical Services (GSS) in processing census data and conducting surveys using various statistical software packages, including SPSS/PC and CENTS. The training involved lectures and practical sessions, addressing specific challenges faced by GSS staff in data processing and entry. Participants, comprising 12 staff members from GSS, received hands-on experience with data processing techniques and software applications.
