Abstract

Report of the Consultative Meeting on Indicators for Monitoring Progress towards Good Governance in Africa. The meeting was an opportunity for representatives of partners' institutions, consultants and some professors having long experience in governance to examine the indicators developed by ECA share their experience and help ECA streamline the indicators and adopt a methodology for the first phase study on good governance in the 15 selected African countries. The meeting discussed the whole question of how the exercise will be conducted on the ground, how to ensure the quality and use of the product, how to monitor its implementation and how to measure its impact.
