The basis for the present report is a study on the environmental aspects of the future world economy. This study includes as a principal feature, a set of alternative projections of the demographic, economic and environmental states of the world in bench-mark years 1980, 1990 and 2000. The detailed methodology and substantive finding of the study are released in parts one and two of the present report.
