The general pattern of development for a certain society, in our case an underdeveloped society, supposes a proper understanding of the process of the historical formation of the under-development of this society; a proper understanding of the type of social formation (its structure and superstructure, in their mutual interaction) dominating this society, within the context of today's world economy; the possibility of a conscious action that opts for a certain pattern of development, let us say strategy of development. This strategy cannot be chosen from the viewpoint of the whole of the society, given its class structure.
