Resolution 197(IX) adopted by the commission at its 152nd plenary meeting on 13 February 1969 on the theme of Integrated Approach to Rural Development in Africa. having considered the secretariat’s document E/CN.14/422 on guiding principles and a strategy for an integrated approach to rural development in Africa. convinced of the need for defining the nature of the problem of social and other conditions that rapid development of rural life and economic activity, as well as the need for a coordinated approach to the solution of rural development problems in Africa.
