Report on ECA's activities in the area of geoinformation since the first session of the Committee on development information, science and technology (CODIST I)

Abstract

This report covers activities carried out by the Commission in the area of Geoinformation since the first meeting of the Committee on Development Information, Science and Technology (CODIST I). The report includes actions taken as a follow-up to resolutions adopted by CODIST I and other activities considered as being of interest to member States and partners. The implementation of the work programme was largely focused on promoting and facilitating the realization of the major aspects of the issues recommended during the CODIST I meeting. The activities focused on: (a) Policy issues; (b) Technical issues; (c) Capacity-building; and (d) International Cooperation and liaison.
