The Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) convenes the seventh quarterly briefing and the second for the year 2014 with African Ambassadors accredited to Ethiopia, to exchange views on the work of the Commission. This note provides an overview of substantive work undertaken by ECA over the past three months and highlights some key activities that will be taking place over the next three months. The approach taken in this note is to focus on substantive areas of work grouped under topics relating to ECA service lines, namely key events, knowledge generation and information sharing, capacity development that includes technical support services provided to member States, and consensus building.
