ECA technical cooperation report 2013

Abstract

This is the first report on ECA trust funds and technical cooperation activities since the Commission’s repositioning exercise in 2013. It is a progress report on the main activities and results achieved in 2013, highlighting the challenges and lessons learned. The report also presents the status of funding support received from ECA partners during the reporting period. The report is in five chapters. The first chapter deals with the key results of the subprogram during the reporting period. It also highlights the accomplishments, challenges and lessons learned in the course of implementing the ECA work programme. Chapter two deals with areas of collaboration and joint work with the African Union Commission (AUC) and the new ECA Partnership Strategy, which sets a new direction and approach in pursuing partnerships. Chapter three is on the status of implementation of recommendations from reviews and evaluations during 2013. Chapter four gives an overview of the financial performance in 2013 and the last chapter provides the conclusion.
