Resolutions urging states to take action on a wide range of issues from the proliferation of firearms, to deliberate environmental damage, organized crime, corruption of public officials, attacks on, minorities and acts of terrorism, were adopted, as the ninth united Nations Congress on the prevention of crime and the treatment of offenders concluded its 10-day session here. the Congress called for the preparation of model treaties and legislation to facilitate extradition and other international cooperation in the crime control field, further steps to implement the, standard minimum rules for the treatment of prisoners and assistance to developing countries in becoming active members of the United Nations crime and justice information network as a means of enhancing the international exchange of relevant crime data. It recommended that the commission on crime prevention and criminal, justice.
