The status of information for development activities in North Africa

Abstract

Every passing day sees further advances in the construction of the global knowledge Society and the contribution of information to the economic and social development of Countries and peoples is becoming more tangible. In today's global economy, information and knowledge have in fact become strategic resources which underlie decisions by Governments, societies and the public at large. In countries which have created a favorable Environment, positive effects can be measured in sectors like governance, education, Healthcare and trade.
