The specific areas identified in this draft proposal for activities to be includes in the work programme of the Lusaka MULPOC reflect the overall request of women in the countries as indicated during regional conferences on women and development, in particular the Regional Conference on the Implementation of national regional and world Plans of Action for the Integration of Women in Development held in Nouakchott Mauritania from 27 September to 2 October 1977. The priority activities selected are also in the ECA work programme approved by the Fourth meeting of the Conference of Ministers.
