During the past few years, a rather sobering assessment of previous development efforts has led to new definitions and a re-orientation of goals priorities and strategies. This dynamic process has. involved all areas of society and of course has an effect on the use pf radio clubs in rural Africa Development in the rural sector is of decisive significance to the total society since 70 to 90 percent of the population lives there. Not only that. the surplus of rural production is used to finance progress in other area.
