Among the thematic maps likely to be produced on a territory already endowed with a sufficient topographic support, the maps concerning the vegetal carpet take an increasingly asserted importance. The companies of systematic cartography of the vegetation, continued in several regions of the world, and more particularly in France, reveal today the triple interest of this kind of achievements the botanical maps are essential always more as elements of description, of interpretation and decision.
