Memorandum on the general problem of standardization in Africa
Abstract
The newly independent African countries are faced with the vast problem of standardization. The African countries are fully aware of this problem and some of them are even now taking steps to fill the gap and introduce their own standards. It is obvious that the domestic markets of African countries taken individually are not large enough for national standards to be applied and respected internationally.
