Report of the thirty-third Session of the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts for Central Africa

Abstract

The Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) Sub regional Office for Central Africa organized the thirty-third session of the intergovernmental committee of experts for Central Africa on the theme of “Made in Central Africa: from the vicious to the virtuous circle”. The main goal of the meeting was to give experts the opportunity to discuss economic and social development issues in Central Africa, in particular the industrial fabric, and propose strategies to speed up structural transformation of the economies of the sub region. Another aim of the meeting was to take stock of the implementation of sub regional, continental and international initiatives and review the progress made in executing the economic commission for Africa sub regional office for Central Africa program of work for 2016.
