The findings of the survey and the regional ministerial review conferences and their outcomes constitute the core basis for the report of the Secretary-General on the framework of actions for the follow-up to the Program of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development beyond 2014. The inspiration for the Program of Action was reiterated in the report of the Secretary-General through an emphasis on the need to invest in the dignity and human rights and capabilities of all persons. This includes ensuring the equal rights of women and girls, guided by a comprehensive definition of sexual and reproductive health and rights, which are preconditions for building resilient societies with the capacity for long-term economic growth, sustainability and well-being in the face of social and environmental change.
