The policy imperative is to deepen and consolidate Africa’s recent growth with the careful deployment of science, technology and innovation. Today, both developed and developing economies are focused on innovation because all understand the trans-formative role of new
technologies and innovation and the first-mover competitive advantages that they can confer on successful firms and countries.
