The purpose of the meting of the steel committee is to discuss issues and follow-up activities emanating from the decision of the fifth meting of the council of ministers of the Lusaka Mulpoc and come with recommendations on issues, particularly on the establishment of supply/purchase arrangements for ZISCOSTEEL’s pig-iron, billets etc. to feed national re-rolling mills in other states members of the sub region.
