This study was carried out with a view to assisting in the definition of a common approach to regional integration by the co-sponsors. This approach is contained in the document subsequent to the study itself entitled "concept paper : initiative to facilitate cross-order Private investment, Trade and Payment in Eastern and Southern Africa." The assessment will address the two documents simultaneously and invariably, as they convey the same message and mutually supportive.
