Economic and technical co-operation among developing countries will lead t o a fuller and more effective exploitation of existing and potential complementarities in the economies of developing countries, while at the same time contributing to a more balanced and interdependent relationship between developed and developing countries. It will also .strengthen the capacity of - developing countries to negotiate with developed countries and reduce the one-sided nature of their dependence on them. By intensifying trade and economic and technical co-operation among developing countries as part of the structural changes needed for a more rational international division of labour, it will further lead to a more efficient use of world resources.
