The PRSP process in Ghana

Ghana is the only country in sub-Saharan Africa that has undergone fundamental economic and political transformations over the past decade and half. Although the results of the economic reform programs have been far from being satisfactory from the point of view of poverty reduction and strengthening the productive sectors of the economy, the emergence of vibrant civil society, opposition parties, and a free and independent media on the other hand has been a spectacular development by the standards of sub-Saharan Africa.
