The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has a total area of approximately 95,400 sq. km. The river Jordan divides the country into two parts. the West Bank and the East Bank. The East bank comprises over 89,000 sq.km.while the Dead Sea covers 557 sq. kill.The land area of the East Bank is therefore,88,650 sq. kill.The country is bordered by syria in the north.Iraq in the north-east, Saud;Arabia in the south and east and Occupied Palestine in the west.
