Working note on a posible programme for economic co-operation among developing regions

Abstract

All these institutional arrangements proposed above except the one that seem to be unacceptable will make it very difficult to implement a serious programme of ECDC. No role is assigned to regional economic commissions which are likely to be more deeply involved in-any significant ECDC. It is therefore necessary for ECA to undertake, as a matter of urgency, consultations with other regional commissions and China in regard to the patterns of co-operation and priority projects besides participating in the effectively planned meetings in Geneva and Mexico.
