Funds have been specifically earmarked for the provision of furniture and decoration of the new ECA building which consists of a ten storey office block, a library and a cafeteria complex. Whilst proposals in this regard will be submitted to United Nations Headquarters, it is also hoped that the culture, art and generosity of States members of the Commission can be reflected in the furnishing and adornment of the new ECA building. It is therefore proposed to seek the assistance of member Governments in the furnishing and adornment of certain rooms and public places in the new ECA building. Precedent for this exists at the Headquarters of the United Nations where various Governments made donations for its furnishing and adornment.
