The unprecedented advance in science and technology has brought with it accelerated changes in human living and endeavour. This is an age of science. Economic growth of countries now depend largely on their scientific development, and the impact of science on the agriculture, industry, energy, minerals, irrigation, transport, communications, and other productive sectors. The effectiveness of science will, however, depend on the permeation of its principles and practices through the entire society.
