Abstract
The document reports on the status and progress made on the main conclusions and recommendations from the eighth session of the Statistical Commission for Africa. It highlights various aspects of statistical development, including the modernization of national statistical systems, statistical capacity development, and the integration of geospatial and statistical information. Key areas of focus include the implementation of the 2008 System of National Accounts, the 2020 round of African censuses, civil registration and vital statistics, gender statistics, and the use of big data and data science.
